NorthWord - The Next Generation is a pilot project aimed at creating an annual, digital-only edition that showcases the creative work of children and youth from Northern Alberta. This publication will serve as a sister initiative to NorthWord Magazine, the region's premier literary arts magazine. Content selection will be youth-led, under the mentorship of award-winning literary art professionals and local artists.

We're inviting youth ages 14-18 from across the Wood Buffalo region to help shape NorthWord - The Next Generation.
As a member of the Youth Editorial Advisory Panel (YEAP), you'll choose themes, review submissions, and share your perspective as part of a digital literary publication.
No experience is required - just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to engage with ideas.
